****** PRESS RELEASE ******
Reading, PA – March 19, 2020 – Steve Willems, Managing Principal of NAI Keystone worked with owners of an industrial property in Muhlenberg Township to secure 10,000 SF of warehouse and distribution space – free of charge – for a special mission being done by the Humane Pennsylvania/Berks County. Humane Pennsylvania will be doing regional distribution of products that families and other shelters can use during this difficult time. While life presents new challenges each day, the mission of Humane Pennsylvania/Berks County helps all of us to feel better about the world.
The supplemental warehouse space will allow Humane Pennsylvania to receive, coordinate and distribute large scale deliveries of pet food during the Corona Virus (COVID-19) crisis. Readily available food is critical for those experiencing economic impacts due to job loss, those unable to travel, and those who rely on social service supports which are currently disrupted, allowing them to feed their pets and keep them from entering shelters. Recipients of food resources include food pantries, school districts feeding low income students and families, and animal shelters and rescues throughout the Southeastern and Central PA. Donations of pet food (especially cat food) and financial donations are needed and more information is available at HumanePA.org. Please help support our animal friends during a time when they are a great comfort to us all.
Humane Pennsylvania CEO, Karel Minor, calls NAI Keystone an amazing corporate partner. “Our ability to help animals and people is only made possible when businesses like NAI work with us to bring resources together for the greatest impact. Steve Willems and NAI are helping us save lives by making this donation of critical space possible.”
Steve Willems, NAI Keystone Managing Principal said, “Karel and the Humane Pennsylvania team are helping in a way that makes an immediate impact. We’re glad to partner with them to leverage what we know about real estate and make life for pets and their families a little bit easier.”
