NAI Keystone Assists with Berks Authority to Acquire Abandoned Paint Factory Site in Reading, PA

NAI Keystone is proud to announce that John Buccinno, CCIM, SIOR, represented the Buyer, Berks County Industrial Development Authority, in helping to facilitate the sale of the long-vacant former Glidden site, located at 1853 N. 3rd St., in Reading, PA. The 19.4-acre site operated as a former chemical and paint manufacturer – which stopped production in the facility in 2007.

We look forward to the plans that the Berks County Industrial Development Authority (BerksIDA) has in partnership with Shuman Development Group, to redevelop the site, meeting the Act 2 standards for commercial and industrial use. Split by a rail easement, the redevelopment plans for the site will include two parts: a development of the lower 14 acres for a retail shopping center and 5.4 acres of industrial properties redeveloped by BerksIDA.
